This isn’t a series of sermons about “The Wild Kingdom.” We won’t being taking a field trip to the zoo. It’s not a new Weight Watchers program to kick off the new year, and it has nothing to do with Republicans.
You may hear an elephant joke or two, but hopefully the sermons won’t be the jokes.
You see, the “elephant in the room” is an old English idiom – it’s a phrase that refers to an obvious truth, but no one wants to talk about it. Everyone knows there is an elephant in the room, but shhhh…no one is saying anything about it.
We’re going to look for five weeks at some things that happen in the church (the elephants) that shouldn’t be happening and see what God’s Word has to say about those things.
